This song really hit home for me. It reminded me of my ex-boyfriend who I kept trying to mend things with me- he "stood up on the doorway and then walked away". He really tried to work things out too, but then realized that it wasn't working. And I truly "thought that bell would ring twice but I now know for sure that it ain't me [he was] looking for." I miss him a lot, but I need to "bleed through [my] own blood to get on through that fire." I'll get over him soon- I just need to be strong. It's clear that I "gotta ways to go." I need to stop throwing a pity "party" about him and move on. I know it'll all be okay though. There is somebody out there looking for somebody like me.
