I feel it's about getting to know someone romantically and a warning to not put all your eggs in one basket. I also enjoy substituting "break" for "brake". I think when you apply both or either words, it's plays out as how easily something can start, it can also stop, and/or crumble.
I also think PTR is "on fire" because she's either aggravated by the game people play when they get to know each other, or she's content with herself but the rules of the game never change.
