I agree with Stickysen above, but maybe it's not from her perspective? Or only partly. I don't think all of the lyrics have to come from Roisin's POV.

All of Statues is sad, really. They had to make it even after they broke up, and that's really amazing to me. It makes me sad that they couldn't continue to work professionally together, but that's really not my place to judge. This song is probably the one that expresses the sadness the best out of all of them, not because it's the saddest, but because it has this little bit of joy - this familiar feeling - mixed in that makes the unhappiness more pronounced.

I think everyone knows the feeling of lost closeness when a couple breaks up. Especially for the party that didn't initiate the break-up, it's harder to deal with. Suddenly, it's either gone, or still there, but more awkward, and you have to deny it until it goes away completely. This song does feel almost like an argument for re-starting a relationship, but at the same time, it's like she's saying, Things will be the way they will be:- "I never doubted it What's for you will not pass you by" and "It's all there ever was And it's all there ever will be" so even if the relationship's gone, that's the way things should be. She realises this, but the familiar feeling persists.
