Not sure. It's a clever song but the lyrics go over my head. I'm thinkin' it could be about living from one day to the next. Just enjoying the differences of each day when you have no plans and just go with the flow. You love who's presented to you and don't worry when they're gone because another one will always come around. You like the streets and the nightlife (concrete basement?). You pretend because it's easier to pretend than to actually feel and gamble that you might get hurt. You say "I love you" without much thought or feeling because it gets you what you what you want/need at that moment. You hide from your own feelings because you can't get hurt that way. And I suppose the life-long aching is for that which you might miss out on...something you'll never have because of the way you choose to live your life. Never heard of these gusy (girls?) but this song (lyrically) is rather impressive.
