Marilyn Manson believes himself to be a non-conformist, yet he seems clueless about the fact that the Bible itself promotes non-conformity: "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..." (Romans 12:2).
However, I can understand where he is coming from to some extent since many who claim to be Christians today do not believe the Bible. Sadly, there are a lot of misrepresentations of Christianity in our day, just as 2 Timothy 4:3-4 and 2 Peter 2:1-3 both predicted. I do not hate Marilyn Manson, but I just feel sorry for him.
The Bible itself is full of countless contradictions, this being one of them. Quoting one verse from the Bible will not outweigh the general idea and what it promotes.

You'd know that if you did your research before commenting on an artist you don't seem that fascinated with and spreading your noble compassion for someone who couldn't give a flying fuck about you feeling sorry for them.

Marilyn Manson is not a christian, he wouldn't follow what it says. He's made it rather clear over the years that he does what he feels is right. He hasn't said anything about doing what a simple book says is right (or wrong).

I get what you mean and I agree, but I don't think this guy thinks manson's a christian. I think what he's trying to say is that although manson is so opposed to christianism because it promotes conformity, he doesn't know that at one point the Bible states that christians should not be conformed.

LOL...because the Bible didn't agree with his chosen lifestyle:) As for being Catholic, Catholics didn't start studying the bible until just a few years ago. It was always one of our collective weaknesses. And we didn't/don't have revival tents:)

Marilyn went to a Catholic school; he studied the Bible; he undestands what the Bible sais. That's why he is an atheist.
