Given that our dear Anna always expresses honestly with no covering up her thoughts, it seems that she has found a new friend, who happens(?) to be a murderer... Or better, the fact that he is a murderer gives him the right to be her friend. Anna feels safe around him, 'cause "men are the only species that he kills" and she considers herself probably not even human. Well, at least not a man.
With the line "but he's the most human friend that I ever had" she probably wants to say that he is not entirely human. However, it could also mean that the most "human" being is the one who actually kills other human beings based on the oxymoron yet true fact that human nature can often (Anna would say "always") be "inhuman" and cruel.
