Dear Hidden Track Lyrics

I actually think the 7th line is "upon awaking, forget my name."

This song always seemed really sad to me, like a lullaby in death. It felt like he was singing to someone who's time had come to die who was holding out. He's singing to them telling them that it's OK to go and to not wait for him, like they have another life to live without him. Like they need to fall asleep so that they can "wake up" in their next life, or afterlife or what-have-you. It's not his time to die so he can't "wake up" with them and he wants them to move on without him.

Either way, it's a beautiful song. Wonderful in it's simplicity.
