I have to say that this is the best TWY song to date. the gang vocals and just pure lyrical impact of it is incredible.
I reckon that this song is about how Soupy finally feels great and truly 'not sad any more' and that this whole world ending part makes him feel like it was a waste of time if I am gonna die anyway.
The chorus is basically about how he can sleep without having panic attacks and that no one will take that from him as he is is finally where he wants to be.
The 'fuck the world" is like saying "I'm not gonna be what you want me to be because it seemed to him like the universe (world) was out to get him (New years eve) and wants him to be sad. but now he is standing up to it cos he is happy.
