So excited this band is back together and recording a new cd!!!!!!! I’ve been a fan of them for a long time. I’ve seen them live many times in Boston and on the South Shore and I have the first cd (which this song is on). The thing I love the most is the imagery that the lyrics have. At a recent show, I got the courage to go up to the singer and ask him about the lyrics. Even though he looks mean, kind of like a gang member lol, he’s actually a real chill guy. We had a cigarette outside and he answered all my questions about the lyrics. Being a female, I thought he might be like most singers in a band and try to take me back to his hotel or whatever lol but he wasn’t like that (and no I'm not ugly lol). I could tell he was very passionate about the lyrics and took his time explaining them to me. But what he said about pheromones was it was very personal, more so than any of the older songs. All he would really reveal about this song was that it was about a girl he has always loved, and would probably never see again. I listened to it on the way home and could hear his sadness in the song for the first time. Made it even that much more powerful. So yeah even though its called pheromones, this is a sad song. He also told me the new cd has alot of songs like this style and they are also re-recording pheromones as well! I can't wait!
