This is such a wonderful song. To me, it's about how difficult it can be to open up to a lover sexually after having endured sexual abuse or manipulation elsewhere, and how sexuality can seem like a dirty and shameful thing after all that, but there is "still grace in this" and can still be shared with someone deeply trusted.
