I wish I knew exactly what this song was getting at, but one thing I noticed was a lot of the songs on this album seem to take a very realistic approach and perspective towards the ever-so-familiar ups and downs of a relationship. I think that's one of the reasons I love this album so much -- Not only is it musically excellent, but also so easily relatable and down to earth.
