This is like the saddest fucking song ever, but it's so beautiful, I cant stop listening to it.
I think it's about knowing someone, and being able to see that they are depressed and feel lost and alone in the world. But they are so damaged, and because no one else notices their depression, you know you wont be able to get through to them, but you're there for them, even if it seems hopeless.
But it's not a positive friendship song. You wanna pull them up from their pain, but it doesnt happen. It ends in confusion and despair. It almost seems like it'd play after a suicide or a death, or simply the person not being able to cope and disappearing.
It's so racked with pain and guilt and regret and sadness. But it's so graceful and beautiful. I know it's a cover, but it's just so totally Local H.
