I don't understand that line because without an answer things will be the same as they always were. Maybe when it says "we seek to fall" he is saying he is against that idea of not looking for answers.
We aren't supposed to search for answers when something in our life goes wrong because humanity is bound to fall. Every step we take leads to a defeat, and searching for all those answers we want for our life would take forever and destroys us even more.
