In my opinion it talks about being in a relationship and finding a perfect moment inside something simple such as laying with the loved one staring at the stars, to you they look brilliant because of how you're feeling at that point. Then talks about him breaking up with her after she misunderstood the boundaries of the relationship. Then he talks about being alone being under the influence in his car doing the same thing, but finding no perfect moment because that persons gone, almost like he regrets the decision. Ah well.
