Cover art for Wounded Head lyrics by William Fitzsimmons

So in general it seems like this song is an encouragement that things will be better. William may be writing this to himself or to someone else. I know he has written about his father in the past which is why the line about "the ghost of your father" makes me think it could also be to himself. The wounded head is addressed as it's own entity which also makes me believe it could be a song to himself. To me it seems like he is reassuring himself even though his head may be wounded with scars of his past they will heal and "your weary legs will hold you with time."
