I love this song and i feel like it definitely shows the struggles of maintaining a long distance relationship
For me I think of maybe a guy who's gone on business or to college and his girlfriend is back home missing him and pretending that its okay and everything is fine, but in reality she's hurting alot with broken promises that he'll come back but doesn't. Meanwhile he realizes his mistakes and keeps saying that one day he'll be back and things will be back to normal.
