i'm pretty sure that this song is my favorite. the line 'the thing that maybe once seemed harmful is her' just feels very sad to me. sort of pathetic and desperate, as well as 'you wouldn't eat unless i told you so'--the person in the relationship who's in total control and then the person with none of the control. but sort of switched up, because it seems like the person who has the control ends up bearing the burden of the attention from the person they supposedly 'don't care' about; it's a really perverse and gorgeous song.
