Absolutely adore this song and this band. It's got that great indie feel and lyrics are just perfect for this song.
I love how he starts a line and repeats it with a more detailed finish.I think it conveys his own acknowledgement of how raw he is after what he has experienced. The song allows him to grow and state more firmly how he feels as he reflects back.
The lyrics convey so well (to those of us who can relate)the importance of hindsight as one looks back at the absurd feelings of hope we had for someone who was a complete tool.
