This is one of my favorite Ono songs. Beautiful piano sounds, beautiful spoken word.
I'm not exactly sure what "unun to" means- it must be an idiom or just a "shoo wop" kind of thing. "Unun" means "uh-huh" or "yeah, yeah" on its own. Anyway, here's my translation done to the best of my ability:
Unun to, unun to
Moaning
of such painful emotions
Unun to, unun to
Moaning
although I ought to have forgotten
"Miracles" only exist in dreams.
In the pitch-black darkness of a heart
even now
I am still startled [by it]
[...]
Unun to, unun to
Moaning
of such painful emotions
Unun to, unun to
Moaning
I ought to have forgotten.
Oh, one mistake- "omoi de" should just be "omoide," changing the meaning to "such painful memories," making the verse "such painful memories [...] I ought to have forgotten."
