Invidia Lyrics

So, what I know is the Christian symbolism. Perhaps someone can help with the parts I don't get?

It seems from some of these lines that the speaker is addressing Jesus:

"While you're making wine from water" Jesus first reveals himself as the Son of God by turning water into wine at a wedding

"All the heroes in the gutter Finally get their ever after As they lay their final glance Upon your ever shining armor"

This is a little more nebulous, the first one was very specific, but it does fit well with what the Bible says is going to happen after death. (The lowly will be exalted, the poor will inherit the Earth, etc.)

For the last two lines, I am not quite sure - either the armor is Jesus' which would make sense because we are supposed to meet Jesus after death - or a person in armor is killing the person? I do think the first interpretation makes more sense.

What I don't understand is the "outrun me" part and the "grass is greener" part.

@starwanderer It's about envy for christ's sake... (and not about him). The song title is INVIDIA, do the math ????
