post above cut off at end: I wish I could find an official version of these lyrics as these kind of websites usually seem to have lyrics posted phonetically or by people who don't speak the native language of the writer. However, what I have been able to glean is the lyrics are about the ongoing fight for life and inevitability of death. "So it Goes" is a line from "Slaughterhouse Five" referencing either a transition or when someone dies. All the lyrics in this song seem to be about someone or a group of people trying something to prolong life or overcome challenging circumstances when ultimately the outcome may be beyond control 1) young stagehand loses his arm while trying to keep electricity for concert. 2) futility of politicians to keep a plan for world peace. 3) person (or Persian snake charmer?)bit by a snake or maybe a heroin addict O.D.-ing from a needle "bite" ...either way it is a person in a very risky situation now forced to deal with the reality of the bite. FYI, I hear "And in the air there is absolution-In the wake of a snake and person-On his arm is a skin tight vision-What a rush, he ain't much she is hissin." the latter part being the point of view of the snake saying (in her hiss) "Boy that was scary for a second, but this guy is actually nothing to fear because now he's dead."

The end comment by the snake (if I do hear this correctly) is in line with the idea of the futility of certain struggles that have an inevitable outcome. In other words, the snake says she was all worried and concerned up to the point where she bit the guy...this is like mankind worrying over daily toils and fears. Then, the man dies or is weakened by the snakes bite and the snake realizes what she was worried over (the man) is nothing at all (He Aint Much)...this is like mankind realizing that we all eventually die or that certain...
