My interpretation is that Kearney is singing about a girl he was in a relationship with a girl who never had any direction in her life, something I can certainly relate to. The girl was always lost, and obviously still is. It seems as if the two are now indeed broken up, so he is saying that he will pray for her and hope she will find what she is looking for in life. Mat Kearney is Christian and the lyrics in this song show it. It's about loving and praying for people, regardless of what they do. Very nice song ans great artist.
