I think this song, by the video, has to do with a miscarriage and the heavy grief that comes with it. It ties into 20101104 and Y because we see a window with a white room and tries behind her for the first minute 'n a half of the video. And if you look at the positioning, the window with the white/trees actually is in the apartment next to her.
She goes to hold her stomach while looking out the wide open windows, and sings the line "it's why we can't rely/ally and elope tonight," but suddenly gets very tense and somewhat angry looking. I think she was about to jump out of the window before the thing saved her. You can tell she resisted him, obviously, but them submitted. Towards the end of this video we see it and her dancing off into the room where we can't see, and when she travels back into our view, she's dancing by herself and there is no thing.
I feel like kin (the audio-visual album) is going to be really inspired by loss, darkness, and family ties, hence the name of kin. Sever is haunting, and dark, and beautiful.
We'll just have to see in drops I guess, though. It's hard to wait fourteen days for something so beautiful.
