This song is both beautiful and touching.
It shows the way a father feels for his daughter, every time I listen to it I cry because it makes me think of my own dad and how he hasn't always been the best father because of his alcohol abuse but it makes me understand why he got better, for me and my sisters. it makes me want to hug him and thank him after all these years but I can't.
It also makes me think of me and my ex. About how we promised that when we were going to start our family, we'd do everything in our power to stay together for our kids. Now I'm a little over 5 months pregnant and he's abandoned me and the baby and listening to this song crushes me because my baby won't be able to experience that unconditional love from his/her father. :'(
