The Skinny Lyrics

This is The Skinny on the situation America (and the better part of the 'civilized' world) is in today. The first several times I listened to the song I thought it was about a skinny white pimp and his tricks. I didn't care for the subject matter but I like the album, so I took it in stride. Then phases like "all ya'll heffers are cash cows" and "he gives them gifts and gets on their lips before they even have a chance to get hips!" started to pop out at me. In the third verse "get that money, give it here, he'll keep a bitch in the stable for 50yrs!" This statement sounds strangely similar to the work and tax paying cycle we are kept in untill retirement age! But I think the most revealing part comes soon after in "it's like you don't care, but he's right there in your clothes and your hair, you're known to let him in your home, I can smell his breath in this microphone!" Indeed the Skinny White Pimp is the corporate-ocracy constructed of the top 1% (almost exclusively caucasian males) that governs the world we know through financial and economic slavery systems! Furthermore, we have paid our hard earned money and spent our irreversible time to build it! Not that we meant to, but they couldn't have turned us into a trick without our help! Untill We the People come together and take our Lives and our Government back from the Banksters and Corporations, the situation is only going to cost us more money, time and FREEDOM! Though Atmosphere portrays the message as a crude story, I don't think the reality of the matter is any prettier! We need to understand that at this point we still have the chance to dissolve the power of the Skinny White Pimp, but this means we can't keep buying into the lifestyle he sets up for us! If your hear me: Speak Up!
