I love Etta. And this song is so quaint. It's typical Etta...simple and to the point. Often songs in Etta's day were about women being fools for men who treated them poorly. They were fiscally dependent upon the male gender and it was frowned on to be "kept" by a man if he weren't her husband, so women often married duds...and put up with their bad behaviors. Somehow I doubt Miss Etta put up with too much poo, but I could be wrong.
