before this song was in american horror story, (great show btw)- it was in joss whedon's dollhouse... its a beautiful song.. i also thought of the death of a very small child. she talks about feeling indignant- maybe she had a miscarriage or a stillbirth...?
also when she says, "dont tell me that i had everything i needed, for every lie honey the truth lies underneath it" --to me it sounds like a husband is trying to comfort her but they both know there is no justification for losing her child.
"my house is haunted by rotten desires"- maybe she already has children and she knows she should be grateful, but still desires the one she lost.
the whole thing to me sounds like she keeps hearing everyone's voices in her head telling her "for everything a reason" but she just cant see it that way. "i saw you leaving, i saw you lying cold." --how could there be a good reason for her baby to die?
maybe, maybe not... either way, the lyrics paint a beautiful picture.. tells quite a story, i think.
