I agree with ozofurioso bout this. I think that he is saying he needs to explain some things about his past even though its hard to do and she probably normally wouldnt want to hear. And she is saying that she can tell he he has something inside him that he struggles with and she tells him that people have been talking about him (most likely bad of course) but she wants to hear it from him, and no matter what she heard from others he is still the same person she loves :) I doubt the devil or ghosts have anything to do with it.... just baggage people carry around and once your in a relationship you gotta tell that person.Even if its scary and hard to do...
