i think it's about over and over again, feeling lost and briefly found, then lost again. temporarily believing we have purpose, every so fleetingly believing that we exist.
one day, you realize, the Revolution never happened. there is no revolution.
time has gotten by on alibis and wine -- time has passed while we were "being" whoever we were at the time, or who we thought we were, or who we were pretending to be, etc... and while we were drinking, or indulging in other means of escape. time passes while whatever fills you up, makes you feel, however you're consumed... at the time.
success is another relative measure of worth, gives a sense of purpose, etc.
dim the lights, adopt another lifestyle -- close your eyes, remember that it's not decided. there is no who or way you are. any boundaries that exist are self-created. at any time, you can try something else, and something else, and so on.
keep building, making, finding little fires... only to watch them go out. hope it never goes out for good.
