It comes down to "Evening shadows..." or "Evening shatters...". On his homepage, it says 'shadows' BUT he's been known to change lyrics after writing a song. Tangled Up In Blue has many versions. Joan Osborne sings "shatters" and Adele sings "shadows" - If you listen to the version on his album "Dylan", I'm 95% sure he says 'shatters'. You can find both all over the web. Anyone else seen this or know?? The meaning to me is a gorgeous love song to someone who's been in a lot of pain, but he loves her like crazy anyway or because of it?? He's there for her.
