the title is perfect.
i think the tempo of the song really captures the feel of the song. desire is a precarious feel.
like a melding of love and lust. the spirit is the raw form of the human psyche, honest, pure. steady percussion, like nervous excited blood flow and heart pump. and the chorus, erupting, sending tendrils of static passion. the whole song has a heart-in-throat feel. a very tender violence runs through it. also the bluntness of it all is refreshing and appropriate. like a blunt blade, you feel every touch, friction building. sharper blades are more subtle, more subliminal. the lyrics embody the whole on-edge-of my consciousness feel. like very words you say jump out of your mouth like a suicide jumper, not sure if it was ready to go or not, nearly out of breath the second gravity nestles in.
love is kind of like jumping off a bridge in the end. never really knew how you came to such an edge, never really know how it came to the jump, but once your falling, you are. and that's it. your falling and falling and feeling everything hitting you all at once. forever falling until love embraces you wholly, entirely like the body of the sea, encapsulating, swirling until you are reborn.
I think it's
"tell me that you're always gonna be in my life"
