This song is clearly about drugs, and not just bc pretty much every musician is on some sort of substance...this one really is. When you're in the addict mind set, drugs is almost in every thought and in that life style that's literally all you wait around for. All day. She also keeps saying, every 3 hours take more etc etc, and each time the time span gets smaller the more addicted u get the more often you need it. When you break down the lifestyle it's pretty fucking boring, you sit around and get fucked up all day, when ppl move into town they actually have 'normal' things to do liek bowling and blah blah blah...and obviously "STUFF to live for" is referring to some drug. A body that doesn't want to be mine, I'm presuming that refers to the fact that your body can't stand it but your brain is over powering it. Other than breaking all that down in my fucked up head and line of thinking Annie Hardy looks/acts like she's on something, girl def knows how to get down. I wish she was my best friend, but she's prob a bitchy addict in real life.
Kind of. This song, along with others (most notably 'Kevin is Gay'), is explicitly about Annie's battles with chronic pain (thanks to fibromyalgia and other conditions) and subsequent painkiller addiction. I think she's completely clean now, at least I got that impression the last time I spoke to her.
