The Stones have scads of brilliant songs... this too is among them - gritty arrangements, cutting riffs ala base or drum or nashing guitar... a video equally dark and dirty - even quite possibly the impetus for the whole Miami Vice series aesthetic (note the dude getting shot in the back with a paper bag on his head). It's made out of concrete and sweat and I don't hear ' STUDIO and OVER PRODUCTION' in it at all. Just good and raw.
... most notable of all... thank god it's nothing like the bullshit song 'Moves like Jagger' courtesy of Maroon 5.
Undercover of the Night evokes ATMOSPHERE.
It even goes so far as to show 2 teenagers feeling each other up on the living room couch.
