Waitresses' version:
"Had his number but never the time"
This version:
"Met some guys but never the time"
Yet further references remain to one guy.
Waitresses' version:
"Christmas by myself this year"
This version:
"Christmas with my mates this year"
Yet further down, it's almost the same:
"'I'm spending this one alone,' he said.
'Need a break; this year's been crazy.'
I said, 'Me too, but why are you? [...]'"
If they're going to change the words, they ought to look through the new words properly to make sure they still make sense!
