I was reading an article once and it said that Perfect Darkness (whether it meant the song or the album I'm not certain but I reckon it was about the song) is about a friend of Fin's who had signed a big record deal. I know that Ben Howard and him got on well on tour and that Ben was signed to Island Records at round about the same time.
Deep water, a little deeper than you thought, feel it rolling over your head and just, roll with it, till its all good. I think this means that you cant predict how much of a roller coaster it will be when you first get big, but if you just try and ride it, things ease up in no time.
