I feel like the song is about a relationship and being so in love with someone you can't get enough of them. They are your world. You want to tell them how you feel, but you can't collect the words. You want to get closer with them but you're afraid. Hopefully you tell them because chances are they feel the same. <3 Love this song.
I agree, the video does a good job portraying how it was the line they hold for eachother that they follow and it eventually brings them back together...to where they first began; back to the start and while a can phone may not be the best established connection, it is exactly the line between that tethers them to one another.
