Seems like a girl (lead singer is female) has to adjust to her father's new girlfriend or new stepmom and both the woman and father treat her (the supposed child) as an innocent child. Yet she knows that the new woman in her dad's life is using him for expensive gifts. The girl,being told by her father to adjust,also recieves gifts from this new woman who also makes her dress a part that she wants to see from her stepdaughter in return for expensive gifts,sometimes dressed like a child (I'm not a baby no more)yet isn't that young. Daddy keeps saying to accept both the gifts and new woman,thus his "mind corruption" of her. "I can but I won't,but I might" is like both a challenge and a tease:"I don't want her or her crap...but maybe I do....". Playing games.
