i think this song is about a man who is constantly worrying that his girlfriend will cheat on him so he makes her feel bad subtly, so he can make her feel better again but by this constant worrying he ruins the relationship but thinks that the girl cant do any better and he is all she has, which is really true, but they both dont really get over eachother when they get another partner, and only time can really tell whether they will get over eachother
