"Requiem" is a big give away: he's wishing that he could've fixed things before she died. ("memories that I will never have")
Perhaps it is metaphorical, but I think it would be a much stronger meaning if it were literal.
"Maybe someday love" - I think is him hoping she'll find God's love in heaven (so shoot me, I believe in God). Maybe because he felt that no mortal love is good enough for her?
I could pick apart the whole song, but basically, I love it. With all my heart.
