This guy began his recording career in 1927! I just love the OLD love songs. This one, like most from that time, is about falling in love and getting married...a man working outside of the home and his woman taking care of him; his needs; and the household. I especially like the line where he says she's a litle off (crazy..."a little rockin') but that she's still OK with him. Cute song...the typical romantic song of McTell's time. You don't have to be hit upside the head with the notion of sex; it's alluded to by the sheer fact he wants to marry her :)
