This song isn't about abortion. Why do so many people think songs are about abortion?
The title is PAP SMEAR. People get pap smears to test for abnormal/pre-cancerous cells that may form as a result of being infected with a strain of the HPV or genital wart virus.
The wound that doesn't heal is speaking to the potential that in time the flesh may become malignant; once infected the virus is always there.
Ugh. Obviously not a woman because pap smears check for more than abnormal cells (HPV; genital warts). But I agree the song is NOT about abortion. I don't know what it's about though. And in all honesty I really dislike this band. I thought I'd give their lyrics a "listen" in hopes that I find something I like.

Then consider the fact that you probably won't considering this band is somewhat goth/emo and possibly satanic in the slightest ways (although most of their songs aren't satanic) they are very graphic and disturbing...the kind of music that would...

Thanks, but I REALLY dislike the band's SOUND more than its song lyrics. I've re-listened, but I get the same feeling every time...I HATE this band.
