Noahdavid also makes an interesting point about Surrey Hills, which I suspect is an artistic play on words (by all accounts Dennen appears to have lived exclusively in California). Also, I agree the lyric is actually "come correct." I'd be very interested in hearing what Dennen has to say about this song himself.

I love this song too. It would be more meaningful to know what the wrongdoing was, just adds another layer when it is about real life.
