I agree with the suggestion that this has to do with the protests against the Marxist government. But I can't help but also think about how Tori references her good friend, and author, Neil Gaiman a lot in her songs. She's mentioned "The Velvets" in her songs before. "The Velvets" are a group of vampire-like women in one of Gaiman's earlier novels. (Great book, by the way !)

I think this song carries a double meaning. Reference both to peaceful protest, and to a desire to hear more about The Velvets.
