A jerk is shocked by the outcome/reaction to the other person's reaction to the end of their relationship. Reminds me of the sociopaths/unempathetic people that I date, and how astonished they are they I get so angry at them for how they treated me, how many leis they told me and how they just didn't care about me at all, when I cared about them a great deal.
