In addition to the posted previously and whatever the personal reasons of the lyrics, I can't help but feel a reference to the killer whale as the "monster" in this song (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_whale)..

And yeah, they'll kill almost anything that comes accross. Ironically anything except humans (maybe they feel some sympathy in likeness in that aspect, who the hell knows?).
