i love this song and the lyrics in it, they're beautiful. "illusions fade when feelings rise" is so brilliant because it's true; when you grow close to someone or feel strongly about them you sometimes force yourself away from the truth... you believe the lies because you don't want to accept that you have to let the person go. same thing with "i push them under as i hide," "colorblind when you deny," etc. refers to not wanting to believe what it is they're confessing, not being strong enough and just being in a state of denial. lovely song and so relatable <3
