This is an amazing song, with lot's of powerful lyrics. Although if any one could explain, the meaning of the «We die for you and still do» line. Who's dying for us? Is this a historical reference to the persecuted Jewish people or a reference a New Testament reference?

When Matisyahu says "We die for you and still do", he is referring to the persecution that Jews endure (i.e. The Holocaust) just because they worship God. To this day, Jews are still persecuted. When he says "So I say to you, this is nothing new", Matisyahu acknowledges that this persecution has been going on for thousands of years and that it's not going to stop them from worshiping God.

Hope this helps!
