The next part, about the girl.. Well, I take it she's the bully, and she's racked by guilt because she believes she was the reason he killed himself, so either she speaks up or kills herself, too.
In the boy's part, the 'bully' is the girl. The family was blamed because they didn't pay enough attention to him to know, or something like that..
In the girl's case, the 'bully' was the guilt. The family.. Same as boy.
