i think this song is about how he is finally ending things. he's been having having a rocky relationship with a girl. and he's saying that he's actually going to try and get over her this time, although it's really hard. he's saying they got "spun" because they got drowned in this unhealthy relationship. And "rescued" meaning every time they break up, one of them comes to the rescue and says "maybe we can work this out." but he's saying he doesn't want to get rescued, because he's finally starting to feel okay without her, or no feeling at all, and he knows that if she comes back, it will just bring him back to square 1. not to mention going through a hard time, and that it may of been his last song because this was just the final straw for him.
