So I really loved this song when I first heard it. I sang it constantly. But. Now that I actually read the words…

I'm pretty sure the entire song is about sex.

I tried to get around it. I tried to make it fit a general model about a new relationship. But. No. There are just so many literal cues. Like "didn't know what to do with my hands." I tried to think of it like he just wanted to hold her hand but wasn't sure if he should, or he was just so nervous he didn't know what to do with himself…But yea. No. It's sex.

And she also said that she "pretends it's impulsive". Girls do that. They pretend they're so spontaneous but really, they have calculated that moment right down to the very last second. I tried to pretend that she was just pretending to be impulsive about liking him or kissing him for the first time, but I'm pretty sure it's sex.

And if this line "after everything we did, I know this is the last night, they'll ever think of us as kids" doesn't prove to you that it's about sex, then you are seriously trying to hold on to nerdfighter innocence. I tried to make it seem like they won't be thought of as kids because they're so in love. But that does not make sense. So, again, it's sex.

And lastly, as I tried to hold on to my last blissfully ignorant idea, I tried to make the "And I pretend it's not a big deal and you don't make a fuss" to just exemplify the fact that girls are always more invested in a relationship than the typical guy, but that also works for sex.

So in conclusion, this song is all about sex. I'm not quite sure why. I mean, it's Luke and Kristina. Why are they writing songs about sex? I mean, I'm not saying I see them as these innocent people on pedestals. I know certain things that they've done they wouldn't support the image they've created. It's just… I thought they would want to continue to support their image, not break it down, bit by bit.

Whatever. It's about sex. The end.

lol yes it is. Alan wrote it and he's semi pervy.
